This piece, I'm not in love's just not what I wanted it to be, but I'm not sure what's off. Just frustrated with it. I would normally just toss this in the trash, but I'm putting it here to remind me that sometimes it's about the process and not the final product. (a friend of mine reminded me of that last night when I was ranting about a wasted work day). I tend to focus on the finish line, when sometimes I need to enjoy running the race.

I wanted to see if I could take a piece from concept to finish, with full background and not skimping on characters in one work day. I wanted to see how much I could streamline my work process....cutting back on a couple of steps. I think I may have skipped one too many....don't think I can go straight from a rough sketch to final...for me, a tightening up sketch needs to happen. This is how far I got. I doubt I will end up finishing it, but I'm taking some lessons from the piece, so that has to count for something.
