another promo idea

Got to thinking that my kind of obscure superhero hippos that I love might be kind of limiting my audience. (I am going to print some up for Comic Con...but, a small run)

Here's the second idea I was working on this week.

I like it....not quite in love with it yet....for sure not committed to it enough to spend money on printing for it. It's close....closer than the hippos. I have another idea, so we'll see. At this rate, I'll just keep padding the portfolio and never print anything. <grin>...because I'm cheap and picky.

But, yay! More drawings. <haven't been thrilled with the IF prompts lately, so these are filling the gaps until we hit a word I like>

Hi. My name is Jennifer and I can't draw women.

Admitting I have a problem is the first step towards a solution, right?

I can only draw women when they are old and have cute round cheeks and floaty chins...they are great to draw....but, every woman I draw can't be older with floaty chins. I always default to men.

Right now, I'm kind of fascinated with bustles. I have been for years....ever since Slue Foot Sue bounced off of Widowmaker to the moon while she was wearing one....I've always wanted to draw that.

So on my quest to draw better women, I'm going back to about the 1890's to try sketching some women instead of always defaulting to men.....maybe the extreme shapes will help.

Have a lot of stuff with children that I'm working on right now, but nothing I can share (yet)...I will, as soon as I can!

Meanwhile, this is an older piece, but one of my favourites......Mrs. Thwing's Third Grade Class.

They are supposed to be cute woodland creatures drinking "Little Hugs." Instead, they look like they have a cache of grenades. Not quite as sweet as I had hoped. <grin> Color would help.
